For Military Officers Pursuing an MBA
Get into the right MBA. Build the career you want.
Personal MBA admissions coaching from an Army veteran and Stern MBA who’s made the transition.
Written by Wes Lowenfeld — NYU Stern MBA '19, U.S. Army veteran
The Problem
Make a plan that fits your service, your goals, and your timeline.
Your service gives you useful material. The application asks you to make it understandable: why you made a decision, how you worked with people, what changed, and why an MBA fits your next step.
The book organizes the decisions and tasks. Coaching helps you apply that structure to your own school list, stories, and deadlines.
Start with the decision in front of you.

Who's Behind This
I made this transition. Now I help other officers do the same.
I'm Wes Lowenfeld. I went from the Army to NYU Stern, class of 2019. The transition taught me how much planning goes into translating military experience, choosing a school, and preparing for a new career.
So I wrote the book I wish I'd had, and started coaching the officers I wish someone had coached me. That's it. No big agency. Just someone who's done it and can help you do it smarter.
